Spring has finally arrived! After living through what seemed like 8 months of winter, it’s nice to be reminded that we can count on the seasons to continuously bring about change.
Not unlike our actual seasons, the business climate has predictable cycles too and get ready… we’re about to experience some change. According to ITR Economics, a firm out of New Hampshire with a 94.7% accuracy rate of predicting trends, the economy is starting to show signs of slowing in multiple sectors – moving us from the past 8 years of summer-like growth toward a chillier business climate.
I am not telling you this to scare you, but as a reminder that despite what you see today, every season has it’s time and preparation is key. Too many small business owners were blindsided during the last recession and I don’t want to see that happen again. So, although we’re enjoying spring around us, what could you be doing to prepare for the cooler business climate that will ultimately arrive?
