Success Code Principle #9 – Never Stop Learning
Knowledge is power. We’ve all heard it, but many dismiss it for a hundred reasons. Keeping up with business and industry skills is critical to success.
Best Practices Include:
- Having a coach or mentor that challenges and supports you to be the best you can be.
- Having a company library with books, magazines, and dvd’s to support employee development.
- Joining and actively participating in at least one industry association.
- Including personal development as part of your employee review process.
- Encouraging your employees to try new things without fear of failure.
Take a few minutes to answer today’s Action Questions:
Are you and your managers supportive of people trying new things without fear of failure?
If you developed a culture of learning, what competitive advantage would that give you?
